New - Dwellings!

Dwellings, a new collection of textured wallcoverings by Jill Malek, is inspired by the organic structures of animal homes. Scaled to custom fit a space, the patterns are printed on durable materials that can withstand heavy traffic, and are available with optional dimensional felt accents, sewn by hand. All materials used are commercial-grade and suitable for both high-end residential and commercial interiors. In line with Jill Malek’s ongoing fascination with fluid forms in nature, the technique of marrying two materiallayers is an expression of her interest in shifting scales and challenges our notion of a flat wallcovering surface. The successof her collections “NATURAL DIMENSIONS” and “EBB & FLOW,”led her to introduce a new optional sewn felt series that would appeal to designers and home owners looking for both a functional and a visually captivating customized wall art. 

The collection consists of four non-repeating patterns; REEF—inspired by the vibrant colors in underwater plants; COCOON—inspired by the beautiful swelling of animal cocoons; NEST—inspired by the textures and subtle colors within woven animal nests; and STALACTITE—inspired by hanging forms in caves that change color over time. Intended to stimulate productivity, Dwellings uses the symbol of animal homes to make us feel protected and secure. We become immersed within the bird’s nest, the cocoon, the underwater reef, and the nestled cave within the forest. Colors, motifs and felt pile heights can be customized.
